Fall’s New Silhouettes

There is something so hauntingly seductive about the new silhouettes shown for Fall 2013. With a preponderance of leather, moto jackets, vests, studs, spikes and chains you would think more motorcycle gangs,  instead you see the beautifully feminine, fluid movements of the garments surrounding these tough biker looks on the runways of  Fall’s New York’s Fashion Week. Take a look at Chanel or 3.1 Phillip Lim’s  runway collections to see what I mean.

Nothing thrills me as much as the new Sandal Boot found on the runway from  the likes of Kenneth Cole to Phillip Lim. This new shoe has a thicker heel, a thick strappy  front with a large amount of leather going up the shaft of the leg, similar in design to the gladiator knee-high heels of this past summer from Altuzarra  and Tom Ford.  If leather is not your thing, then drape an oversized coat in a beautiful floral pattern in fabrics like silk and cashmere over the most basic of outfits. Adding this years new oversized coats or vests to your most basic outfit like jeans or leggings and a tee is sure to make quite a statement. But for those that are most daring, try the new structural dresses with their striking details. Defined by their cinched waists and exaggerated lapels; peplum skirts, bustier detailing or tulle in dazzling colors, these new silhouettes make any woman stand out in a man’s world.

This fall clothes are strong, confident and harsh yet feminine and soft. The accessories are bold and embellished. The shoes are tough and rugged. Let your style be seen by making a statement and choosing a new silhouette this fall and dare to stand apart from the rest.
