How to Wear Ankle Bo...
posted by Styled Now!
If you look up the word “bootie” on the Internet you’ll get the answer ” a soft shoe, typically knitted , worn by a baby”. But in the fashion and shoe world there are three different kinds of booties; baby, protective and women’s booties. This fall...
Target Scores Once Again
posted by Styled Now!
After months of anticipation, the limited-edition collaboration between Target and Joseph Altuzarra launched Sunday September 14th. In Charlotte , the collection was only available in two stores. What I didn’t know was that Target started their new store hours at 7am instead of their typical 8am. As I approached the parking deck anticipating the lines outside the double wide sliding doors, I noticed people walking out with bags. Slightly panicked, I parked and started sprinting to the front, only to remember that I placed my order online at 3am. Thanks to a combination of IPad and IPhone , and Target and Net-A-Porter, I quickly made...

Nailing It for Fall 2013
posted by Styled Now!
Four times a year, every season, normally on a Monday when I am off work, I hop into my car and drive to my local Ulta store and buy three nail polishes. It’s become my little ritual for the last several years. People change their handbags with each outfit, I like to change my nail polish. No I don’t have manicures every time I change my nail color, I do it myself. I learned at a very early age how to paint my nails. My parents thought that young girls should not paint their nails or wear make-up until they were at least in high school, I was in the fourth grade when the obsession began. I had to catch the bus every morning,...
Fall’s New Str...

After several years of the slouchy hobo handbags and shoppers, Fall 2013 gives us a whole new look with tight lines, color-block and totally structured handbags. These handbags look intense, hard and angular. They give a woman a very modern yet classic look, almost a little masculine but...
Fall’s New Silhouettes
posted by Styled Now!
There is something so hauntingly seductive about the new silhouettes shown for Fall 2013. With a preponderance of leather, moto jackets, vests, studs, spikes and chains you would think more motorcycle gangs, instead you see the beautifully feminine, fluid movements of the garments surrounding these tough biker looks on the runways of Fall’s New York’s Fashion Week. Take a look at Chanel or 3.1 Phillip Lim’s runway collections to see what I mean. Chanel Fall 2013 Runway. Photography by Mikael Jansson. Turning Heads This Fall
posted by Styled Now!
Whether pretty in pastels, leather or fur, coats are fashion’s must-have Fall accessory. But outerwear is only part of the story. Also in the air: nouveau punk; serious 90’s grunge revival, mid-century silhouettes, and hues of Mediterranean blues are some of this season’s most important trends. Even though fashion designers and retailers play it safe in tough economic markets using the return of leather, fur and denim , there are still plenty of new things to update your Fall 2013 wardrobe. Structural bags and clothing, along with high impact metallics and embellishments, had strong impacts on the runway this year. Photo...

On a beautiful Monday morning in mid June, the creative team of Scott S Clinton, Kymm McLean ,model Alexandra Szeszko of Evolution Talent Agency and myself joined forces to create some magic at BlackBox Studios. For the Love of Boots
posted by Styled NOW!
ANKLE BOOTS: These boots happen to be the most popular right now since they are one of the most versatile. They look great with pants, shorts, skirts and dresses. The pointed-toe ankle boot has all the polish of a pump but a whole lot more attitude! The higher heeled ankle boot looks great with pencil skirts or dresses. Wear the wedge ankle boot to run around town in a pair of leather shorts and oversized sweater. Love wearing skinny jeans or leggings, the flat ankle boot has that tough yet comfy look that we secretly love. Wearing a dressier high-heeled ankle boot should fit closely around the ankle, but the flat one can be wide and gape...
