Valentino FW 2015
posted by Styled Now!
I’m have been slightly obsessed now for the last year with Maison Valentino’s collections. They are feminine, bohemian, exaggerated and divine. It’s my fantasy world. It’s a world where I live in a bustling city wearing these exquisite couture, and Ready-to-Wear designs from the 2014/2015 fall collections. Rich in texture, fabric and design, these dresses are intricate and worldly. Just the way I imagine myself in my couture fantasy world. Enjoy the looks from In Style’s “Runway Looks We Love”. http://www.instyle.com/awards-events/fall-fashion-week/runway-looks-we-love-valentino# To view the entire...

Cowboys and Indians: Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel
posted by Styled Now!
A few days ago, models walked the runway at Chanel Metiers d’Art pre-fall 2014 fashion show in Dallas. As usual, the production was outstanding and host to a crowd of nearly 1000 celebrities, top Chanel customers in Dallas and around the country, supermodels and members of the international fashion media . Lagerfeld showcased the company’s Métiers d’Art to vivid effect with clothes that trumpeted the American West—Cowboys and Indians clichés and all. Historically, Ralph Lauren has owned this fashion territory, but Lagerfeld seized upon it with gusto but also with characteristic deftness. “It’s a reinvention of...
Fall’s New Silhouettes

There is something so hauntingly seductive about the new silhouettes shown for Fall 2013. With a preponderance of leather, moto jackets, vests, studs, spikes and chains you would think more motorcycle gangs, instead you see the beautifully feminine, fluid movements of the garments surrounding these tough biker looks on the runways of Fall’s New York’s Fashion Week. Take a look at Chanel or 3.1 Phillip Lim’s runway collections to see what I mean. Chanel Fall 2013 Runway. Photography by Mikael Jansson. Hot Trends to look Cool this Spring
posted by Styled Now!
After last season’s introduction of bright colors, prints and opulent embellishments nothing was stronger on the Spring 2013 runway as the basic black and white. Shown best by Marc Jacobs, his nod to the 60’s was featured using checkerboard patterns and bold vertical stripes. These new pieces are easy to incorporate by adding a bold striped top or sheath dress under a black boyfriend blazer for the office, or try a checkerboard mini and a single sole pointed toe high heel for date night. Thick or thin, vertical or horizontal, Spring 2013 is all about stripes. Michael Kors, an all time favorite in creating what women want, uses stripes in a...
The Black and White of it All
posted by Styled Now!
Black and White, one of spring’s boldest trends, can be found in many collections this year. Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Pamella Roland and Alice & Olivia are good examples, but no one did it more justice than Marc Jacobs. In the final parade of his Spring/Summer 2013 runway show, lines blurred into each other as the models paraded down the runway forming a pyramid. His silhouettes were mod, accessories linear and the color primarily black and white. In Calvin Klein’s collection, some white looks included slivers of black that were visually pleasing and flattering. Layering the black moire wave pattern over the white shift...
